See It Now

Greetings, time for me to get outside and rake leaves. Man o man this yard can generate some huge pile of leaves. Its nice to live on the lake and have the shade in the summer, though. I just cant get used to the cycle that this over-treed yard goes through. Thats a lie.....I am used to it, and I like living on the shore. I JUST DONT LIKE raking leaves. Is that an ironey....or a paradox??

What’s the definition of irony? (It’s a rhetorical question, eh!) How about an Arab gas station owner getting shot dead in America while America’s foreign affairs is commandeering oil in the Middle East. YIKES. Did you see the news (again rhetorical).

Gas price war turns deadly in Detroit
Owner of station killed rival who cut price by 3 cents a gallon, cops say.
Norman Sinclair / The Detroit News
DETROIT -- A price-cutting war over gasoline turned deadly Friday as the owner of a southwest Detroit station was shot dead during a brawl touched off after one station dropped its price 3 cents below that of its rival across the street.
Detroit Police said th e confrontation began before noon when Hussah Masboath, 51, operator of a Marathon station on Fort and Springwells, was changing his price.
The argument escalated into a fight with several employees from both stations joining the melee, police said. During the brawl, someone swung a baseball bat and the pole that Masboath used to change the numbers on his sign.
Witnesses told police that Masboath pulled out a gun and fired a shot, striking Bazzi, who died shortly afterward in an area hospital. Bazzi, of Dearborn, was the father of four children ages 5 to 14, his cousin Joe Bazzi said.
"He was a very hardworking man who went to work every day and was very well-known in the Arab-American community," Joe Bazzi said. "He was a good guy. His arms were open very wide for everyone."

It just struck me as being absolutely manah from heaven for a twilight zone script…….”the war hits home soil” or “the Arab American getting murdered for the oil his fathers owned”. How much longer can we stay addicted to fossil fuels. Did you see where Dubai is constructing a whole living community on the sea? The latest suburb is coined “The World” (to neighbour the recently completed develoment “The Palm”) for sale, after completion. The prices guarantee only the elitist members of society (Arab or Christian?????) will be the residents, or perhaps some closed community of the future. Some skeptic might philosophize, perhaps, this would be a good retreat for the rich (Bin Laden family et al???) when the planet’s working citizens unite to the exploitive domination of fossil fuels and refutes its impact on global warming. Much like the gas station owner, we are all tied to this cross. We dont inherit the planet from our grandparents, we borrow it from our grandchildren.
What is a paradox? (Rhetorical you ask....now you got it. Ha Ha) How about riding in an ambulance after a heart attack and getting pulled over for dangerous driving or such (yup, its rehetorical). Did you see the news where the ambulance was stopped crossing the border to a hospital when the customs pulled it over for a secondary inspection?
Border guards stop heart attack victim
Ambulance driver sent to inspection, patient questioned

U.S. Customs has sparked an outcry after a Windsor ambulance rushing a critically ill heart attack victim to a Detroit hospital was stopped by border guards.
CAW executive member Rick Laporte, 49, had already been revived twice and was being sped to Henry Ford Hospital when a U.S. border guard ignored protocol at the tunnel and forced the ambulance with sirens and flashing lights to pull over.

My apologies to any blog readers this may offend, and any google trackers that are triggered, but, I just could not write a better script for the twilight zone, could you??? Now "Why?" do you ask, do you live by the US "if you are so critical". I can only answer in the vein of Edward R. Murrow, "because I can". People should not be afraid of governments, government should be afraid of people.
Anyhooooo, have to get back to my chores. Until we blog again, be well.
