Checkered Lounge Pants

Hi from Thailand once again. January has raced by and my travel buddy leaves on Monday to fly home so I will be guidless. I have to get a visa extension for my last month here but I am not anticipating any problems getting the application approved. I have done the research and gathered the required documents/photos and will head down to the immigration office sometime this coming week. I had a real blast a few weeks ago when I was asked to go see a elephant farm not far from the condos. What a ride!! It lasted an 30minutes and the handler sat me in the "drivers seat" so I could feed the bananas to the elephant as we sauntered along. I could still feel my legs the following day from clasping on with my knees. LOL!! I will include a picture of 3 of us hopping the island ferry on the weekend to spend the day at Monkey Beach.  The floating lights are eternal lanterns lit by  beach goers on New Years Sawadikap from Hat Jomtien. The time is flying by here. It has been a month since coming here. New Years Eve was a blast. I joined my buddy and his gal pal, Mat, for an traditional Asian meal.  Then we found a spot on the beach and we lit eternial lanterns  and drank beer, with a bottle of champagne that was uncorked at midnight (my apologies to the Aussie that I burnt with my lantern..he was some pissed but seemed subdued after my generous offer to share the champagne...never thought Id see an Aussie turn down a drink..LOL!). I found a  sports/golf themed restaurant (check out the Bruins poster on the ceiling) that plays all the football games, but the time difference here means an evening game back home is a breakfast game here..but they do a good omelets so its no big deal.
