LOL LOL LOL....that is a copy of an email I got from my good buddy, Union brother and colleague, and fellow retiree, Dennis Wray. I just impulsively howled a gut laugh until my mending ribs hurt, when I opened the email.

A week earlier I was text messaging with Denny when he sent me the website for the Golf and Country Club, he and his wife Bubba belong to. The Pine Ridge members were conducting a golf competition heralded the Ridger Cup. It is formatted, I presume, on the same principles as the Ryder Cup and the daily reports posted on the Club's website were priceless. I won't post the pictures without permission but, I will post the website of the club and the home page includes Denny's team that played in the tourney http://www.prthegroup.ca/ . Email me if you cant pick Denny out and I will ID him for any emails sent to me.

Its snowing its snowing the old man is…. errrr, in the hospital. Pops had to be taken to the hospital earlier this week. Test showed he had water on the lungs and he has to visit with the medical staff until it’s cleared up. I have to be there for work next week so he better up and about so we can hang for a spell. What with, the medical system being what it is, its good to be in the observation unit. I had cause to take my buddy Gar to the emergency in Surrey on a recent visit (not that recent) and we sat in the emergency room for hours…some emergency frequenters go to any lengths to get free dressings and aspirins rather than spend $5 in the pharmacy. Too bad it clogs it up for legitimate medical emergencies. Ohhhh well, the alternative to social medicare is not very appealing either. Nuff on my rambling...get well Pop. Lets get back to the snow. Ambassador Doer: Stop lobbying for the Keystone XL pipeline

BY  ANDREA HARDEN-DONAHUE   |  SEPTEMBER 2, 2011 Today the Council of Canadians joined with the Indigenous Environmental Network and Greenpeace Canada to send a clear message to Gary Doer (Canadian Abassador to the U.S.): stop lobbying for the Keystone XL pipline. We delivered a letter with this demand to Chris Plunkett, counsellor and spokesperson with the embassy, outside of the embassy in Washington. Doer was unfortunately unavailable to join us, he is currently in Winnipeg. We were a group of around fifteen Canadians present in Washington to support the ongoing unprecedented  two weeks of non-violent civil disobedience sit-in  outside the White House demanding Obama refuse to sign the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline.
