My left nut for a breeze....

Already been one month since getting on the plane to Asia. Its been quite a full four weeks. Check out my facebook page for the pictures:
https://www.facebook.com/bryon.debaets.  ....a picture is worth a blah blah blah. I m beat tonight. Returned two days ago from 7 days in my girlfriend village staying with her family. That was a real experience. And here again, see my facebook because a picture is worth blah blah blah. Walked home from supper tonight and sweated up my third shirt today. I fn hate that. One month and Im still not climitized. I dripped right through my shirt during my salad before my entree. My bad for wearing a shirt instead of my usual black tshirts...they hide the sweat downs so well.

Skyped with my son and his 5 year old daughter yesterday. She asked when I am coming over for a sleep. I told her I would come soon soon and sleep. She asked how many sleeps I stay....I answered "seven sleeps LuLu". She countered with I had to stay "at least 10 sleeps". That struck a chord in my heart. I sure miss her. I decided I will stay in Asia for one year if I can get a retirement visa, so the sleep over wont be soon soon. Well time to sign off.

Its snowing its snowing the old man is…. errrr, in the hospital. Pops had to be taken to the hospital earlier this week. Test showed he had water on the lungs and he has to visit with the medical staff until it’s cleared up. I have to be there for work next week so he better up and about so we can hang for a spell. What with, the medical system being what it is, its good to be in the observation unit. I had cause to take my buddy Gar to the emergency in Surrey on a recent visit (not that recent) and we sat in the emergency room for hours…some emergency frequenters go to any lengths to get free dressings and aspirins rather than spend $5 in the pharmacy. Too bad it clogs it up for legitimate medical emergencies. Ohhhh well, the alternative to social medicare is not very appealing either. Nuff on my rambling...get well Pop. Lets get back to the snow. It snowed here last night (see the picture). I got up early to witness the white powder before it melts. Time to get the Xmas tree, now tha...

Ya better watch out, Ya better not pout....

Driving down the road to Kingsville the other day, my beloved Val seemed quite unsettled about the fact that we were, soon, passing by her 40th birthday and zooming in on Xmas and there was no snow to be seen anywhere in our neighbourhood. Now, that really is not all that unusual in our neck of the woods, but she seemed right agitated. Never really gave it much tought, but, while in Montreal this week, I snapped a pic from my hotel window towards Westmount, and, "loe and behold" it is December 17 and ne'er a flake to be seen. Have a peek, see? It occurred to me , as well, I called my folks in Winnipeg a few days ago, and they reported the weatherman was forecasting rain. RAIN.........RAIN. Be still my heart, well Santa really has arrived, when folks in Winnipeg are not freezing their butts off in December. Or has he??? Can you beleive that? Now I dont recall the last time I did not have a white Xmas, but I do want one. It just dont seem Kosher to have Xmas without snow ...

"Well it looks like we are going to have a white Christmas after all," Kevin said, "it finally feels like Christmas", regarding the heavy snowfall on the drive to his work this morning. That is pretty much typical for a Winnipegger that's moved to Essex County. I remember the first Xmas I had herein Windsor Essex County, and it snowed Xmas eve. Sweet Pea Valerie and I were in some kinda funk that we were going to have to experience a green Xmas (which is a bitter sweet phenomena for Winnipeggers, because, we dream of such a thing when living in the prairies, but go into culture shock when thrust into a green Xmas). I remember my folks saying, "it might be a green Xmas this year", when the snow had not yet arrived, on the prairies, at November's end.
