Just a note while hanging out at the condo today. It's Friday and its been a full week. Monday saw my first Thai massage since arriving two weeks ago. Toronto Gerry got into the beach town and call to get together. We got some of the expats together and met for dinner. Tuesday my roommate had her second day off this month and we went to the masseurs masseuses and got a two hour traditional Thai massage. Now that was intense. Ning really enjoyed sharing the two hours with me. I was amazed at how she gets twisted up like a pretzel. Remind me next time to tone it down to a medium massage as in soft medium or strong. Wednesday was a chillaxn day. Thursday I hiked my ass off in the am and beached away the afternoon and captured the sunset. Today I saw Ning off to spend the weekend at her home village with her mother and her kids. Just one quick story before I go. I live by the ducks on the roof.

The circle has been completed. I left Essex County last November and returned a week ago and moved into my new place this weekend. I found a little cottage in Amherstburg and, after looking over a few properties, decided on this place located "by the Ducks on the Roof" as the directions were passed on to me. Ducks on the Roof is a well known restaurant on the outskirts of Amherstburg. Amherstburg is a  town near the mouth of the  Detroit River  in  Essex County, Ontario . It is approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of the U.S. city of  Detroit , Michigan. "I  believe we did see Amherstburg, we (Mom and Dad) parked near where a ferry or a boat went across to  USA ? Happy October to all my golf buddies and winter friends. I am getting in the last few good weather golf days in Essex County before heading to Winnipeg next week. I met some new golf friends and renewed old ones. I have a fully slated week of teetimes and close out Saturday with a reverse scramble golf tournament and banquet and a Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday with my host family. They have been so gracious and kind for the last 5 weeks it will be hard to say goodbye but goodbye I must OR as my grandkids so prophetically say "see you later". Goodbyes are so much easier that way. I see snow in the forecasts in Manitoba so I hope I dont have to raise a shovel or a scarf before I fly out to Asia.
